Candidates:
The NEC decided Jeremy Corbyn , as incumbent leader, should automatically be on the ballot.
The only challenger to announce a bid for the leadership so far is Angela Eagle , who kicked off her campaign on Monday.

When is the closing date for ballots?
The polls close at 12 noon on Wednesday September 21.
Who can vote in the election?
Three groups can vote in the Labour leadership election
- Labour Party Members who joined before Tuesday, January 12
- Members of affiliated unions
- Registered supporters who pay £25 between July 18-20
It's thought Labour members who joined after January 12 will be able to pay £25 and vote as registered supporters. This will be formally clarified on Thursday.
