Parliamentary elections will be held in Georgia on 8 October 2016. The ruling Georgian Dream coalition, led by Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, will seek re-election for a second term in office. Opposition parties that have confirmed their intention to challenge the incumbents include the former ruling party, the United National Movement, the Free Democrats—formerly a member of the Georgian Dream coalition—led by Irakli Alasania, and the Alliance of Patriots of Georgia.

As of  October 11 (11am), three parties received enough votes to gain seats in Parliament.

The current preliminary results for Georgia's Parliamentary Elections 2016 are:

  • Georgian Dream – 48.668%
  • United National Movement – 27.111%
  • Alliance of Patriots – 5.006%

Although all votes have been counted, the CEC said these results were preliminary and not final. The CEC must announce final election results by October 27, 2016.
