  2. Polls will be open 7 a.m. until 7 p.m. in cities throughout Mississippi on Tuesday to select party nominees for the June 6 municipal general election.
  3. Tuesday's primary will effectively decide many municipal offices in heavily Republican DeSoto, where GOP primary winners in all the mayoral races will face no Democratic opposition in the general election.
