Virgin Islands Democratic Caususes Imp Points

1. Virgin Islands Democratic caucuses are scheduled to be held on June 4 in the U.S. territory of the United States
2. Republican Party Virgin Islands caucus took place on March 10. 
3. Seven of Virgin Islands’ 12 Democratic delegates are pledged to presidential contenders based on the results of the voting in the Virgin Islands Territorial Convention.
4. A mandatory 15 percent threshold is required in order for a presidential contender to be pledged National Convention delegates.

Opinion Polls: No Opinion Polls are available for Virgin Islands US. But according to reports their are dominant Black voters who have high probability of voting Clinton rather than Sanders. Simiarly on June 5 Primaries are there in Peurto Rico which again has good popularity for Clinton

 Hillary Clinton has won the Virgin Islands Democratic caucuses, according to results provided by the local Democratic Party.

 The party said Clinton won 84.2% of the vote, while Bernie Sanders earned 12.2%. Under Democratic National Committee rules, a candidate must win at least 15% of the vote to be eligible to receive delegates. 

The U.S. Virgin Islands caucus will start at 10 a.m. and results are expected to come out by early afternoon. There are seven pledged delegates to go along with five superdelegates up for grabs.

According to a preliminary vote total, Clinton received 1,308 votes to Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders’ 190.

 She is now just 60 delegates short of the 2,383 needed to advance to the November general election.
