The city of Nashville, Tennessee, is holding special election for the District 33 seat on the Nashville Metro Council on August 15, 2017

This seat became vacant after former councilman Sam Coleman was appointed to become a district judge by the Metro Council on May 16, 2017. The winner of this election will serve the remainder of Coleman's term, which expires in 2019
